Multi-Touch Software Add-On Now Available for Motorola Droid

Motorola Droid users now have a way to use iPhone-style multi-touch technology on their devices, thanks to a new ROM add-on released on AllDroid.org.

Unlike its European counterpart, the Motorola Milestone, the Droid does not come equipped with built-in multi-touch support. Those who are willing to install the new add-on, however, will be able to zoom in and out by pinching the screen, just as they would on an iPhone or Milestone.

Users should remember, of course, that installing experimental Alpha software can be risky. As the AllDroid site warns, install at your own risk.
