Nokia and Apple Seek 2012 Court Date in Ongoing Patent War

Consumer electronics giants, Nokia and Apple, appear to have delayed their ongoing intellectual property battle and are now seeking a U.S. trial only in mid-2012.

Nokia is suing Apple over a number of patents related to wireless data and security, and alleges that virtually all of [Apple's] mobile phones, portable music players, and computers are in violation of its intellectual property.

Apple has since fired back with a complaint to the U.S. International Trade Commission.

Unless the companies are able to settle their legal differences in the mean time, it appears they could be locked in a litigation battle for years to come.
