Scotiabank to Offer Mobile Banking Beginning Spring 2010

Toronto-based Scotiabank said today that it plans to provide its customers with a mobile banking option beginning in the spring of 2010.

The new service, which will be provided in partnership with M-Com, will allow customers to view their account balance and transaction history, transfer money, and pay bills on any compatible mobile device, regardless of their wireless service provider.

Canadians rely on the convenience of mobile devices to help them manage their busy lifestyles and having the ability to do their banking from their mobile devices will simplify their lives that much more, commented Scotiabank's senior vice president of sales and service, Mike Henry.
